ABOUT THE EVENT
Since 2017, Mark and Holly have been presenting their live event, “The Everest Base Camp Trek Experience,” at outdoor retailers and various venues across the Southeast U.S. This audio/visual presentation covers all the details of the iconic EBC trek, including lodging, food, training, gear, trail conditions, and much more. Around an hour long, the “Experience” is always fun and always free. Whether you want to actually do the trek or just have an enjoyable evening learning about Nepal and hanging out with like-minded people, it’s always a good time.

We’d love to come to your store or venue! Here are some things to consider:
- The event itself lasts around an hour to 75 minutes. We usually try to get there at least an hour early to set up, and try to leave extra time to answer questions at the end.
- We will cover all things related to the Everest Base Camp trek, including travel, lodging, food, training, gear, etc. We’ll also cover some of our other destinations, but very quickly.
- We will promote your store as the place to buy gear for the trek. We also recommend that a store representative get up at the beginning and welcome everyone, etc.
- We will bring a projector, screen, folding table, and speaker. Usually, all we need is a nearby electrical outlet. If you have a standard folding table we can use, we’ll leave ours in the car.
- The store usually provides an open area, seating, and sometimes snacks and drinks. (Some places will even serve craft beers and stuff.) Whatever works for you. These events usually average around 10 people, but we’ve seen up to 30, depending on the level of promotion.
- Beyond that, all we ask is that you aggressively promote the event via your store marketing channels. We can provide logos, graphics, and even a flyer to have in-store. Some stores will print a bunch and stuff them in all outgoing bags during the month or so leading up to the event.
- You may want to consider creating some type of event coupon for attendees. Some places have provided a discount for any registered trekker who buys gear at their store prior to their trek. Again, whatever works for you.
Again, just give us a shout and we’ll work out a date and time.
