Team Discount
Like anyone else, we love a good deal — both getting and giving. If you are planning on trekking with a team of six or more people (on the same trek), give us a shout and we will work up a custom price for you. Sound good?
military Discount
Military veterans hold a special place in our hearts, so we’re happy to offer any U.S. veteran* $250 off a trek of their choice.
*Must provide a copy of DD-214, military ID, or driver’s license with veteran designation.
part deux discount
We’re still in a giving mood, so here’s one more nugget: Going on a Hobnail trek qualifies you for an automatic $250 off any future Hobnail trek! So, go to Everest Base Camp this year and you get a cool $250 off your next trek, maybe the Peruvian Odyssey, for example. You’re welcome!
About refunds
Reserving a trek requires a $500 (unless otherwise stated) deposit, which is held until the minimum number of trekkers required for that trek to proceed has registered. At that point, your trek is confirmed.
If that minimum has not been met 60 days prior to the beginning of the trek, you may choose to:
- Transfer the deposit to another trek that occurs within two years of the date the trek was scheduled to begin, or
- Request a full refund of the deposit. (This request must occur within six months of the date the trek was scheduled to begin).
Once the minimum number of trekkers is met and the trek is confirmed, your deposit becomes non-refundable. Under no other circumstance may your deposit be refunded. However, we require all of our trekkers to carry travel insurance which may cover reimbursement of the fees you’ve already paid in the event you have to cancel. (Each policy is different so read yours carefully.)
Upon confirmation of your trek, several things are immediately thrown into motion, including the much-awaited Welcome Kit of Hobnail swag and other cool stuff. Your deposit, in part, pays for these goodies. The balance of your trek must be paid at least 60 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. This balance is used to reserve rooms, as well as to pay for transportation, guides, porters, and other expenses, so it is also non-refundable. (Again, your travel insurance policy may reimburse you for any expenses you have paid. Check your policy for coverage details.)
